Cat’s Meow Village wooden collectible featuring the Assateague Wild Horses, representing the Virginia herd owned and managed by the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company. These horses live in the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge on Assateague Island, Virginia — famous for the annual pony penning tradition that helps maintain a healthy herd size and protect island resources.
If you ever visit Chincoteague, locals insist you take a boat tour to see the horses roaming freely.
Handcrafted from 3/4" thick wood in the Wooster, Ohio workshop. Look closely — Casper the black cat is hiding in the grass, waiting for his next ride off the island.
Each piece features a colorful illustrated front and a short description on the back. Designed by artist Faline Fry Jones, these pieces sit neatly on shelves, window trim, wainscoting, or display ledges.
