Cat’s Meow Village wooden collectible featuring King Friday XIII’s Castle from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Handcrafted from 3/4" thick wood in the Wooster, Ohio workshop — just 130 miles west of Pittsburgh, where the show was filmed at WQED from 1968–2001.
The back of the piece tells the story of King Friday XIII, the proud but lovable ruler of the Neighborhood of Make‑Believe. Fred Rogers chose the name “King Friday XIII” as a playful nod to Friday the 13th superstitions — and in Make‑Believe, you could always count on a celebration when the date rolled around.
Handcrafted from 3/4" thick wood with colorful detailing and a printed story on the back. Look closely, Casper the black cat is sitting on the purple stone in the pathway, the signature mark of an authentic Cat’s Meow Village piece.
Each piece features a colorful illustrated front and a short description on the back. Designed by artist Faline Fry Jones, these pieces sit neatly on shelves, window trim, wainscoting, or display ledges
