Cat’s Meow Village wooden collectible featuring X the Owl & Henrietta Pussycat’s Tree from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Handcrafted from 3/4" thick wood in the Wooster, Ohio workshop — just 130 miles west of Pittsburgh, where the show was filmed at WQED from 1968–2001.
The back tells their story: Henrietta Pussycat and X the Owl couldn’t be more different — but their differences made them wonderful neighbors and best friends in the Neighborhood of Make‑Believe. X is a well‑read, sometimes bossy owl whose hero is Benjamin Franklin. He earned his nickname when Daniel S. Tiger encouraged him to “X‑SCAPE” from his cage at the county fair. Henrietta is sweet, shy, elegant, and loves to dress up — speaking “meow” in most of her sentences.
Handcrafted from 3/4" thick wood with colorful detailing and a printed story on the back. Look closely — Look closely — Casper the black cat is perched on a tree branch listening to their conversation… and he even has a crush on Henrietta. Casper is the sign of an authentic Cat’s Meow Village piece.
Each piece features a colorful illustrated front and a short description on the back. Designed by artist Faline Fry Jones, these pieces sit neatly on shelves, window trim, wainscoting, or display ledges
